Gardening on the Y Axis
French botanist Patrick Blanc has been making a name for himself with a concept designed to promote biodiversity while combating the ugliness of urban sprawl. It’s called vertical gardening. Observe:
M. Blanc’s designs are featured in many cities and homes across the planet. Vertical gardening is efficient, fun, and doesn’t have to be large scale or terribly complicated. Of course, here in the Deep South of the U.S., we already know all about vertical gardening, thanks to Japan. It’s called kudzu, and it’s been known to swallow innocent communities whole.
Very cool stuff (vertical gardens, not kudzu).
Patrick Blanc’s website (French/English) - very cool presentations

I found vertical moss gardening instructions online and gave them to a friend. Now she’s got a wall that faces the police station and says “Free the Weed” in bright green.
