I am not sure that Bush or Blair ever believed that there would be no resistance; but definitely they were confident, to an extent, in their abilities to use that resistance to the advantage of their agendas. Why they believed that there will be no resistance to their occupation? Media too is not completely honest when reporting the truth. Iraq invasion started on CNN like 24/7 reality show where they were cheering all the movements of US military. Now the same news anchors who were the cheerleaders are citising the war. Ted Turner was very honest telling Wolf Blitzer that CNN sold Iraq war to American public on prime time. The UK and US government and media are poll driven, they are not really honest and truthful.
